1 (Purpose)
These terms and conditions are intended to regulate the rights, obligations, responsibilities, and other necessary matters between the company and its members in relation to the use of the services provided by C.I.Education Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as the “Company”).
2 (Definition of Terms)
- The terms used in these Terms and Conditions are defined as follows:
- “Member” refers to a person who agrees to our terms and conditions to receive services, registers through the prescribed procedure, and is assigned a user number.
- “ID” refers to a combination of letters and numbers selected by the customer and provided by the company for the purpose of identifying the registered member and allowing the member to use services.
- "Password" refers to a combination of letters and numbers selected by a member to confirm that the user matches the ID assigned to the member and to protect the member's rights.
- “Cancellation” refers to the termination of the service agreement by the company or member after the service has been initiated.
- “Affiliate site” refers to a partner company that provides services by forming an affiliate relationship with the company’s site.
- “Non-member” means a person who is not a member of the Company.
- The definitions of terms used in these Terms and Conditions, except as provided for in the preceding paragraph, shall follow trade practices and relevant laws and regulations.
3 (Validity and Change of Terms and Conditions)
- The Company may change these Terms and Conditions for the purpose of improving its services, and will notify members by posting a notice when the Terms and Conditions are revised, and the changes will take effect from the date of notification.
- The Company may change these Terms and Conditions if it deems it necessary, provided that it does not violate relevant laws and regulations. If the Terms and Conditions are changed, the Company will announce the change without delay.
- If a member does not agree to the changed terms and conditions, he or she may request withdrawal of membership. If he or she continues to use the service after the effective date of the changed terms and conditions, he or she will be deemed to have agreed to the changes in the terms and conditions.
4 (Rules other than terms and conditions)
- If matters not specified in these Terms and Conditions are stipulated in relevant laws and regulations, such stipulations shall apply.
5 (Application for membership)
- Customers wishing to register as members of the service must apply online by filling out the membership application form provided by the company.
- The member information entered in the application form is considered to be the member's actual information, and members who do not enter actual information cannot receive legal protection and may be subject to restrictions in using the service.
6 (Establishment of Membership)
- Membership registration is established through the customer's agreement to the terms and conditions, application for use, and the company's approval.
- Membership registration is done per user ID.
7 (Approval of Membership Registration)
- The company, in principle, approves membership applications from customers in accordance with the provisions of Article 5, provided there are no operational or technical impediments.
- The company may withhold approval for membership registration that falls under any of the following items.
- In case the service cannot be provided for technical reasons
- If the name is not real or someone else's name is used
- If you provide false information or do not provide the information requested by the company
- If you have previously lost your membership due to violation of the company's terms of use or related laws
(except in cases where you have obtained the company's approval for re-registration) - If a child under the age of 14 does not obtain consent from his/her legal representative
- In cases where approval is difficult due to reasons attributable to the customer
- If the membership application requirements set by other companies are not met
- If the company does not approve or limits approval of a membership application pursuant to the provisions of Paragraph 2 above, it will notify the user.
8 (Changes to contractual terms)
- If there are any changes to the major information provided upon registration, the member should contact the head office and, once the member's identity has been verified, the requested information will be corrected. The member is responsible for any problems that arise due to failure to correct the information.
- The member is responsible for all consequences arising from negligence in managing or misusing the member ID (unique number) and password, and the company is responsible for problems arising from reasons attributable to the company, such as system failures.
9 (Obligations of the Company)
- The company will not disclose or distribute personal information of members known in relation to the provision of services to third parties without the member's consent. However, exceptions may be made in the following cases:
- In case of a request from a government agency pursuant to the provisions of the Framework Act on Telecommunications and other laws
- When there is a purpose of investigation into a crime or when there is a request from the Information and Communications Ethics Committee
- In case of a request in accordance with the procedures stipulated in other related laws/li>
- Within the scope of Article 1, the Company may compile and use statistical data on the personal information of all or some members in relation to business, and may transmit cookies to the member's computer through the service. In this case, the member may change the settings of the browser used on the computer to refuse to receive cookies or to be warned about the receipt of cookies.
- If the company determines that opinions or complaints raised by customers are justified, it must process them immediately. However, if immediate processing is difficult, the company must notify the customer of the reason and processing schedule.
- In order to provide continuous and stable services, the company repairs or restores equipment without delay when it is damaged or lost. However, in the event of a natural disaster, emergency, or other unavoidable circumstances, the company may temporarily suspend or stop the service.
- The Company is not responsible for any malfunction of affiliate sites.
- The company complies with laws and regulations related to the operation and maintenance of services, such as the Act on Promotion of Information and Communications Network Utilization and Information Protection, the Personal Information Protection Act, and the Communications Secrets Protection Act.
10 (Members’ Obligations)
- The information about the member required at the time of registration must be true and accurate. In addition, the member must maintain and update the member information already provided to ensure that it is true and accurate.
- Members must not engage in the following communications that are detrimental to public peace and order or good morals.
- Content intended to commit a crime or instigating a crime
- Content that is detrimental to good customs and other social order
- Acts that damage or harm the reputation of others
- Acts of illegally using another person's user ID and password
- Any act that infringes upon the intellectual property rights of other users or third parties
- An act of registering or distributing computer virus-infected data that causes malfunction of information and communication equipment or destruction or confusion of information, etc.
- Posting obscene material on bulletin boards, etc. or linking to obscene websites
- Collecting, storing, or disclosing personal information of other members, or harassing other members through stalking, etc.
- Posting, publishing, mailing or otherwise transmitting any advertisements, promotional materials, junk mail, spam mail, chain letters, pyramid schemes or any other form of solicitation that has not been approved by the Company.
- Any act that violates other related laws or the terms of use established by the company.
- Members must exercise considerable care in managing their ID and password, and must immediately report to the company if their password is exposed.
- Members must comply with these Terms and Conditions and related laws and regulations, and must not engage in any acts that significantly interfere with the Company's business operations.
- Members may not transfer, donate, or provide their right to use the service or other contractual status to others without the express consent of the company.
- You must not commit any act that requires corrective action from the Information and Communications Ethics Committee.
11 (Member’s obligations regarding management of personal information)
- All responsibility for managing the ID and password lies with the member. The member is responsible for all consequences arising from negligence in managing or misusing the ID and password granted to the member.
- If a member's ID is used illegally, the member must immediately notify the company of the fact.
- In principle, the personal information of registered members is used from the time of registration by agreeing to the membership terms and conditions until the time of submitting the cancellation request. When a member requests cancellation, all information is immediately and permanently deleted.
12 (Provision of Information)
- The company may send (or provide) various information and advertisements deemed necessary for members to use the service to members through various methods such as e-mail, pop-ups, or postal mail.
- The company may request additional personal information with the consent of the member for the purpose of improving services and introducing services to members.
13 (Member Posts)
- Any problems that arise to members due to posts made by members within the service are the responsibility of the individual member, so care must be taken to ensure that posts do not violate relevant laws and regulations.
- The company may delete, without prior notice, any content posted or registered by a member within the service if it determines that such content falls under any of the following:
- If the content defames or slanders other members or third parties and damages their reputation
- Spreading false information that may cause confusion in daily life
- In case of content that violates public order and morals
- If the content is deemed to be related to criminal activity, or if the content infringes upon the company's copyright, third party copyright, or other rights
- Including when linking or posting obscene materials or obscene sites (posting the URL of an obscene site)
- In case it is judged to be in violation of other related laws and regulations
14 (Postings on Affiliate Sites)
- Posts on affiliate sites are subject to the affiliate site's policies.
- Even if it does not violate Article 1, you may request deletion from the affiliate site if any of the following applies:
- If the content defames or damages the reputation of other members or other affiliate sites.
- In case of copyright infringement of members and other affiliate sites
- In case of violation of other related laws and regulations
15 (Service Usage Time)
- In principle, the service is available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, unless there are special business or technical issues. However, this does not apply on days or times designated by the company for regular maintenance or other reasons.
- The Company may divide the Service into certain ranges and set separate availability times for each range. In this case, the Company will notify the details in advance.
- For affiliate sites, this is determined by the operating terms and conditions of that site.
16 (Suspension of Service Provision)
The Company may suspend provision of services in the following cases:
- In case of unavoidable circumstances due to construction work such as maintenance of service facilities
- In case the service needs to be interrupted inevitably due to circumstances beyond the company’s control
- In case normal service use is disrupted due to excessive service usage, etc.
- If the company deems it appropriate, such as replacement with a new service.
- In case of force majeure such as war, natural disaster, national emergency, etc.
17 (Notice to Members)
- When the Company notifies a member, it may do so via the contact information and e-mail address submitted by the member to the Company.
- When the company provides notice to an unspecified number of members, it may substitute individual notice by posting on the notice board.
18 (Contract Termination and Restrictions on Use)
- When a member wishes to terminate the service agreement, the member must submit a termination request to the company online.
- Members may not engage in business activities using the Company's services without the Company's consent, and when engaging in business activities, the member is liable to compensate the Company for any damages resulting from such activities.
- If a member commits any of the following acts, the company may terminate the service agreement or suspend the use of the service for a specified period without prior notice.
- If you intentionally interfere with the operation of the service
- In case of intentionally distributing content that is detrimental to public order and morals
- If you have stolen someone else's ID and password
- If you applied using another person's name or a pseudonym
- If a member plans or executes use of the service for the purpose of harming national interests or public interests
- If you commit an act that damages or harms another person's reputation
- In case of distributing computer virus programs that cause malfunction of information and communication equipment or destruction of information, etc.
- In case of infringement of intellectual property rights of others
- In case of propagating and distributing articles containing obscene content and obscene materials
- In case of serious negligence or hacking that causes system downtime or operational problems
- If you commit an act that violates the law
- If you receive a request for membership sanctions from an affiliate site due to violation of the affiliate site's principles and terms and conditions
- If it conflicts with other sound site operations
19 (Compensation for damages)
- The company is not responsible for any damage caused by the member's negligence.
- However, affiliate sites are subject to the affiliate site's terms of use.
20 (Disclaimer)
- The Company shall be exempt from liability for providing services if it is unable to provide services due to natural disasters or other force majeure.
- The company is not responsible for any service disruption caused by the member's fault.
- The company is not responsible for any loss of expected profits suffered by members through the use of the service, nor is it responsible for any damages resulting from information obtained through the service.
- The company is not responsible for the reliability, accuracy, or content of information or facts transmitted or posted by members and affiliate sites.
- Users are legally responsible for the content of emails sent by members.
21 (Intellectual Property Rights)
- You may not copy, record, edit, advertise, distribute, sell, or broadcast all or part of the content, services, software, trademarks, etc., to which the Company holds intellectual property rights, without the Company's written consent, and you may not allow third parties to do the same.
- The rights and responsibilities for members' posts and materials belong to the poster, and the company cannot use them for commercial purposes other than posting them within the service without the poster's consent. However, this does not apply to non-profit purposes, and the company also has the right to post them within the service.
22 (Management of dormant accounts)
- The company implements a dormant account management policy for long-term non-logged-in members.
- If a customer who uses the service does not log in for more than two consecutive years after registering as a member through an application for use, the company may cancel the member's membership. In this case, all of the member's data may be deleted, and the member is responsible for any data loss.
23 (Jurisdiction)
- In the event that a lawsuit is filed regarding a dispute related to this service, the court with jurisdiction over the location of the company's headquarters shall be the exclusive court of jurisdiction.
- Affiliate sites are subject to the affiliate site's terms and conditions.
- However, if there are no such regulations on the affiliate site, the court with jurisdiction over the location of the affiliate site shall be the exclusive court of jurisdiction.
These Terms will be effective from January 1, 2025.
